Donations are at the core of what the garage sale is all about and how we survive and we need your help. Items that are always in high demand are listed below. If you’re not sure if what you’ve got is suitable, call, email or register a donation and we’ll get back to you if it’s outside our guidelines.
Now the big day is drawing closer – we are still accepting donated goods directly via our ‘Drive Through Drop Off’ at The Worlds Biggest Garage Sale HQ.
The Drive Through Drop Off Centre is open from 8AM to 8PM everyday and will close at 8PM on Wednesday 25th October.
To drop off goods, simply load up your car and head to: 3/400 Nudgee Road, Hendra.
The World’s Biggest Garage Sale is run completely on a volunteer basis. From our event founders, to the planning teams who all start preparing around 6 months beforehand. On the weekend of the big event, each and every person you see (and don’t see), including the clean-up and post-event wrap-up crews, all volunteer their time and energy to making the WBGS a success.
While the bulk of the work will always be done by these kind altruistic souls, the WBGS does cost us money to coordinate, including expenses associated with logistics, marketing, venue hire, volunteer meals, supplies and general expenses.
Your cash donation, will help us achieve that goal and ultimately result in greater donations to charities like The Courier Mail Children’s Fund. We appreciate any support you can provide to keep this fantastic community event alive long into the future.
