We simply wouldn’t exist without the love, support and time shared by our volunteer and Pathways’ communities. Ever wondered what it’s like to be a part of World’s Biggest Garage Sale? Let our volunteers share their reasons why.
To date more than 40,000 people in the community have been involved in our events, and we have contributed an estimated social impact value of AU$2.2-million to the global economy, along with:
kilograms of goods diverted from potential landfill
litres of water saved
of CO2 prevented from entering Earth's atmosphere
of pesticides and chemicals prevented from being used in the production of new goods

Keeping it Glocal
A buzzword we use is ‘glocal’, meaning a global focus with a local heart. Embracing glocal means that as an organisation you have a global mindset and reach, but you also accommodate the cultures, ideals, and needs of local communities.
We partner with corporations in our community so that we can transform their ‘waste’ into something much more. On a larger scale, it’s about how we as an organisation can do our small part within the big landscape of the circular economy. These partnerships between corporates, small business, social enterprise and community are so essential because no one can do this all on their own.
